One of the gifts I got for Christmas was this really cute little red tackle box. (Thank you, mama!) It has been sitting on my craft table; waiting for me to get a good idea about how best to use it. That idea came to me today. I have been working on my house; trying to do some things to cute it up besides paint, (which I cannot do, but would have been my first offensive attack against the "uglies" that always seem to be so pervasive in an apartment setting.) But second choice is to cover everything in sight with fabric. Which means dragging out my sewing supplies, which have not had a home since we moved. I culled out so much stuff, and for that I am ever grateful, since what I had amounted to literally boxes of crap that I have dragged with me to every house we have lived in, and I have never used. I finally came to terms with that reality before we moved to Eugene, got rid of a ton of crap, and what remained fit very neatly into this box: So perfect! Now if I could just figure out what to do with the 27 million needles I have. They are all in those cute little vintage needle packs that women got when they went to the drugstore in the 30's and 40's. I can't throw them away--I'm actually thinking of framing them but will wait til I have a place to hang something like that.

  1. So i do love that box it is so perfect for all your stuff plus the vintage style PERFECT! Anyways i was reading and thought i would let you know that you are allowed to paint your walls here Darla from the Office says people do it all the time and if they dont paint it back when they move out it is around $40 a room so if you guys do decide to stay for another 6 months or so then maybe you could paint a wall! Anyways again cute box and I'll talk to you tomorrow!
