IRISH JV'S LOSE TO SOUTH -- The Irish JV's lost to league-leading South Eugene to drop the Sheldon record to 8-4 in the Southwest Conference. The Irish trailed the entire game as the hot shooting Lady Axe came out firing and continued to shoot well the entire game. Sheldon pulled to within two points at 22-20, but South went on a seven point run to end the second quarter and the Irish never got closer. Freshman Chloe Stiles led the Irish with a team season-high 24 pts.
(What they did NOT say in this little school website blurb was that the score was 50-37. Chloe scored 24 of the 37 points in the game. 4 threepointers. With a migraine. :) )
(and yes: If I had feathers, I'd be preening them right now. :) ) The truth is, she has been working very hard...and it is paying off for her.
